♥ FAVORITE VERSE:
He heals the brokenhearted
and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars
and calls them each by name.
Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
his understanding has no limit.
-Psalms 147:3-5 (NIV)

♥ TESTIMONY:
I had always been the "Christian" who goes to church just because my parents had told me to, and just for the fishie crackers they served at snack time. Going to church and reading the Bible were just routinely activities that filled up my life. I sincerely did not feel affected by the love of Christ at all.

Everything changed the summer of 2008. My beautiful and wonderful friend, Joyce, invited me to a summer camp, held by my church, Overlake Christian Church. Underneath all the fun and games, I truly found Christ, and went to him for salvation. I can't recall the exact moment that I felt this, but through talking to various people, and learning how having the Holy Spirit in their lives completely bettered them, I realized I wanted that too. So I prayed for redemption. The feeling of letting go of all my sins, and living life with a purpose was brilliant. We shine, we shine with the light of God.

After this, I was not afraid to put my arms up in worship, because it was all for God. For thanking Him for his son, and for the greatest gift of all-- life. When I got home from camp, I cried. Not because I missed camp, but because of the joy that filled my heart from being saved. From then on, I know that He is with me.
